UPDATE: Man wanted in Edenton shooting surrenders | News
A man wanted for a shooting in Edenton over the weekend surrendered to authorities on Tuesday afternoon around 3:30 p.m.
Warrants had been obtained on Thomas Edward White Jr. for the shooting that happened on November 2, 2013 at the Crown Food Mart on N. Oakum Street.
Warrants were obtained for Attempted Murder, Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injury, and Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury.
He is now being held in the Chowan County Jail under a $340,000 bond.
Edenton Police Department and the NC State Bureau of Investigation are currently investigating a shooting that happened at approximately 2:10 p.m. on November 2, 2013.
Police say the shooting took place at The Crown Food Mart, located at 309 N. Oakum Street in Edenton, North Carolina.
35-year-old Maurice Mabine, and 29-year-old Trenita Jackson received single gunshot wounds and were treated at Vidant Chowan Medical Center in ‘good condition’ police say.
